Luna devices can be categorized into three types:
- 2.4G Device
- 2.4G + BLE Device
- 2.4G & 5G + BLE Device
2.4G Device
For 2.4G devices, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure Compatibility with Your Router
- Verify that the router you're trying to connect to supports only 2.4G (single band).
Please check the article below to tell your Wi-Fi router frequency
2. Troubleshooting QR Code Scanning Issues
-
Initial Setup:
- Power on your Luna AI Powered Camera.
- You should hear a voice prompt: “Welcome to Luna AI Powered Camera. Please scan the QR code on the back of the camera and follow the instructions on the app to pair your camera.”
-
Check the LED Light:
- Observe the LED light on the camera.
- If the LED is flashing blue, the camera is actively seeking to pair and waiting for the QR code.
-
Positioning the QR Code:
- Ensure the QR code on the back of the camera is clean and undamaged.
- Hold your smartphone or tablet with the QR code displayed on the screen about 3-6 inches away from the camera lens.
- Center the QR code within the camera's view.
-
Lighting Conditions:
- Ensure you are in a well-lit environment.
- Avoid any glare or reflections on the QR code.
-
Using the App:
- Open the Luna AI app on your device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to initiate the pairing process.
-
Troubleshooting Tips:
- If the camera doesn’t scan the QR code, try adjusting the distance between the device and the camera.
- Ensure no obstructions are between the camera lens and the QR code.
- Restart the camera and app if the issue persists.
2.4G + BLE Device
1. Power On the Device
- Ensure the device is powered on. The periodic flashing of the blue LED light indicates that the device is broadcasting Bluetooth signals.
2. Enable Bluetooth Access
- On your smartphone, ensure that all Bluetooth-related permissions are granted to allow the app to detect the device's Bluetooth signals.
3. Ensure Router Compatibility
- Remember that this device operates on 2.4G only. Ensure that the router you're trying to connect to supports only 2.4G (single band).
- During pairing, the device will use Bluetooth to scan for available Wi-Fi networks and display them in the app. If your desired Wi-Fi network does not appear, the router may be operating on 5G, which is incompatible with this device. Please ensure you are using the correct router.
2.4G & 5G + BLE Device
1. Power On the Device
- Ensure the device is powered on. The blue LED light should flash periodically, indicating that the device is broadcasting Bluetooth signals.
2. Enable Bluetooth Access
- On your smartphone, ensure that all Bluetooth-related permissions are granted so the app can detect the device's Bluetooth signals.
