The InstaVision app is designed to maintain a stable connection even with low network speeds.
However, if your camera appears offline, it means the camera has lost its internet connection. Here are some common causes and solutions:
1. Ensure the Camera is Powered On
- Make sure the camera is plugged in and receiving power.
- If using a battery-powered model, check the battery level.
2. Check Your Wi-Fi Connection
- Verify that the camera is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure your router is powered on and functioning properly.
3. Confirm Your Internet Access
- Test your Wi-Fi by loading a webpage or streaming video on another device.
- If other devices are slow or disconnected, your internet may be the issue.
4. Restart Your Router and Camera
- Power cycle both your router and camera:
- Turn off your router and camera.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Turn them back on and check if the camera reconnects.
5. Check Camera Placement
- If the camera is too far from the router, it may have a weak signal.
- Move the camera closer to the router or consider using a Wi-Fi extender.
6. Look for Internet Service Outages
- Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may be experiencing issues.
- Check your ISP’s website or contact them to see if there are any outages.
